Corporate Social Responsibility
We’re committed to creating a workplace that represents the communities we serve – where differences are celebrated, and everyone can grow, in an environment that is open, honest, and free of bias and where we align to make better health possible to the customers and patients we serve across communities in Ireland.
As a company, we want to make a positive difference in Ireland. The Charity Programme gives our colleagues and customers the chance to support a cause that is close to their hearts and benefits the local communities where we work and live.

Charity Partnership
In 2025, PHX Ireland began a new charity partnership with HUGG the national suicide bereavement organisation. HUGG provide free practical information and emotional support after a suicide occurs through their website, telephone support line, public events, and nationwide suicide bereavement support groups. This partnership aligns with PHX Ireland purpose, to make a real, lasting difference to our customers and communities and will extend across PHX Ireland's subsidiaries: United Drug, Ireland's leading pharmaceutical wholesaler and distributor; McCabes Pharmacy, Ireland's largest pharmacy retail brand with 110 pharmacies nationwide; and TCP Homecare, innovators in clinical home nursing services and direct-to-patient delivery solutions.
HUGG
Founded in 2017 by Fiona Tuomey after the tragic death of her daughter Milly, HUGG was born from a deep need for connection with others who had experienced similar grief. With an estimated 60,000 people impacted by suicide in Ireland each year, HUGG provides a vital lifeline through free support groups led by people with lived experience. Their work in suicide postvention promoting healing and reducing further risk is a powerful and essential part of suicide prevention.

HUGG Support Groups
A HUGG Suicide Bereavement Support Group is a place where you can meet other people who have been bereaved by suicide. HUGG currently has 18 peer support groups meeting in 14 counties across Ireland with two virtual groups. All are free of charge, led by people with lived experience and open to anyone 18+ who has been impacted by suicide.

Past Partnerships
From 2022 to 2024, PHX Ireland proudly partnered with ISPCC to support Childline, Ireland’s only 24/7 listening service for children and young people. Through the incredible efforts of our colleagues and customers across United Drug, McCabes Pharmacy, and TCP Homecare, we raised an outstanding €100,000 to help ensure every child has someone to turn to. This partnership reflected our core values and our commitment to making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
