PHX Ireland Recognition Awards celebrate colleagues
PHX Ireland Recognition Awards celebrate colleague dedication, collaboration and commitment to delivering health
Last September we held our recognition awards in Teeling Distillery. The revamped awards which celebrated the positive impact, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the PHX Ireland mission of delivering health shone a light on the heroes who make a difference every day.
There were over 450 peer to peer nominations received for six awards, and the judging panel, made up of country board members and senior leadership across the business faced tough decisions deciding the winners.
Almost 400 people attended the awards night which kicked off in style with guests greeted by stilt walkers and flame throwers! After a welcome cocktail, guests were seated for the awards presentation, hosted by Darren Kennedy. Darren was joined on stage by CEO Paul Reilly who shared a few words, commending all colleagues on their hard work and dedication.
There were six awards for which colleagues were nominated by their peers, including Customer First Award, Excellence Award, Inspire Award, Integrity Award, Team of the Year and Employee of the Year. The winners of these awards were;
- Nessa Campbell, Key Account Manager, United Drug
- Avril Gleeson, SD Functional Process Lead, United Drug
- Kate Cronin, Commercial Business Efficiencies Manager, United Drug
- Martin Hynes, Clinical Governance Pharmacist, LloydsPharmacy and Rebecca Cuffe, Community Nurse Manager, TCP Homecare
- Claims Team, PHX Ireland (Karen Smith, Mark McCarthy, Denise Dunne, Dagmara Matuszewska, Aoife Carr)
- Eileen Boland, Organisational Development & Talent Manager, PHX Ireland
An additional award presented on the night was the Spirit of PHX Award. This award was developed following the nomination process and awarded to the team in LloydsPharmacy Kenmare. Kenmare town has welcomed a large number of Ukrainian refugees who have struggled with the change in culture and the difficulties of the language barrier. To try and improve their in-store experience, the staff printed translation cards with commonly asked questions to help them feel more at ease and have gone above and beyond to ensure they are comfortable and well informed about their medications. This dedication to improving patient care and delivering health embodies the PHX Ireland mission.
As well as celebrating the award winners, all finalists and nominees were been presented with a gift bag and token to acknowledge their achievements. CEO Paul Reilly and HR Director Hillary Collins attended local celebrations in TCP Homecare, Magna Park and visited LloydsPharmacy stores to continue the recognition of teammates throughout the three business units. Speaking at head office, Hillary Collins congratulated everyone and commented that to be nominated is a huge achievement and everyone really is a winner.
The PHX Ireland Recognition Awards are an integral part of the ourpeople strategy and the ourpeople – recognising you event has been positively received by all employees.
